Patrick Joyce recaptures the lead through the third round of AAGA City Open
His three round total of even par, 214 (70-76-68) leads by 1 shot going into the finale at Norton Country Club tomorrow.

It's Saturday morning at Heather Hill Country Club of the 2024 AAGA City Open. Fifty-one players survived the two round cut made at Wentworth Hills Country Club yesterday, and now can breathe a sigh of relief before a weekend of intense, competetive golf.
Golfers finish tomorrow at Norton Country Club with everyone determined to finish in the top-40 to avoid having to qualify for the 2025 AAGA Men's Championship. Next year will be our 65th consecutive, annual staging of the City Open.
While waiting at the scorer's table, Co-President Bob Gay was hit in the ankle by a ball struck from the 18th fairway by Joe Oram Sr. No harm done, as it careened off his ankle onto an adjacent chair. After a free drop, Joe failed to get it up and down.
Rare Events
Hole in One
Rich Bracker aced the 157 yard, par-3, 10th hole with a 6-hybrid club.
Could be an expensive Saturday for him.
Eagle 2 on the par-4, first hole
Anthony Duva started out right today on the 340 yard first hole as he holed out for eagle. As Anthony describes it,
"[Drive] was just in the rough on the right side with 98 yards based on the laser, and I hit a 54 degree wedge (sand wedge bent 2 degrees strong). [It] hit about 4 feet short, 1 bounce and trickled in."
He went on to make an additional 4 birdies and just 2 bogies for a sizzliing round of 4-under-par 67. His round was the low score of the day.
